Urban Farming!

Whilst on the browse for information and ideas for my design project I came across the idea of farms in urban areas, I’m pretty sure it’s already being done but not on a scale like this site shows. Its pretty far fetched if you think of it existing in our cities now but in the future space will be very limited and its said that 80% of the worlds population will live in urban areas. Personally I think it’s an awesome idea, especially the way sustainability and environmental factors are considered and dealt with. So check it out, it really does look brilliant and gets you thinking on how else urban spaces are going to transform in the future!

Lol i guess you are doing your bit on sustainability then hey :p Now just make the carrot patch 5 storeys high and you are the proud owner of an urban farm!

Urban farming. Good idea. It would give the excess space in your backyard some purpose.
